Cropwell Road will shut down between Marlowe Road and Kresson Road from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, through Friday, Oct. 23, as NJ American Water crews work overnight.

The closure is the most disruptive of several road projects affecting Cherry Hill during the week of Oct. 19 through Oct. 23, according to Camden County's weekly roadwork update posted Oct. 19 and a Cherry Hill Township alert.

Drivers who use Cropwell Road after 7 p.m. on those nights will need to find an alternate route. No detour was specified in either notice.

"Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations," Camden County Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works, said in the county's announcement.

Kresson Road

Kresson Road carries two separate work schedules during the week of Oct. 19. Daytime crews will be on site Monday, Oct. 19, through Thursday, Oct. 22, with a lane shift between Marlkress Road and Springdale Road from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Concrete work with lane closures between Browning Lane and Heartwood Drive runs 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the same days.

Overnight utility work runs Monday through Friday, Oct. 23, from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., with a lane shift between Browning Lane and Willowdale Drive.

Springdale and Evesham Roads

Springdale Road will have lane shifts between Greentree Road and the Burlington County border Monday, Oct. 19, through Friday, Oct. 23, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

On Evesham Road, a moving lane-shift operation runs Monday, Oct. 19, through Friday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., between Atlantic Avenue in Cherry Hill and Middlesex Avenue in Voorhees. A separate Evesham Road lane shift is scheduled Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Cranford Road and Morris Drive.

Route 70 signal and median work

The New Jersey Department of Transportation's (NJDOT) $153 million Route 70 corridor project continues during the week of Oct. 19. Crews plan overnight work Friday, Oct. 23, from 8 p.m. to Saturday, Oct. 24, at 6 a.m. to install a new traffic signal at Route 70 and Haddonfield Road/Grove Street.

Concrete work on the center median between I-295 and Springdale Road is ongoing. Lane shifts in both directions between Haddonfield Road and the Pennsauken border remain in place for asphalt repairs, according to the township alert.

The Route 70 project stretches about nine miles between Route 38 in Cherry Hill and Cooper Avenue in Evesham. It is expected to wrap up by the end of 2026, according to an NJDOT press release issued in April.

Other closures

NJ American Water crews also worked on Cropwell Road on Monday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with alternating traffic between Partridge Lane and Fox Hollow Road. Old Orchard Road at the Route 70 entrance had an overnight closure and detour Monday through Tuesday, Oct. 20.
