A resolution on the 7 Brew drive-through coffee shop at 800 Route 38 heads to Cherry Hill's Planning Board on Monday, Oct. 19.
The application, filed by G7B II, LLC, appears in the resolutions section of the Oct. 19 agenda. That placement indicates the board voted on the proposal at its Oct. 5 meeting and will memorialize the result Oct. 19. Official minutes from the Oct. 5 session have not been posted, so the vote outcome and any conditions have not been confirmed.
The plan calls for demolishing the former Delcrest Medical building on a triangular parcel bordered by Route 38, Longwood Avenue and Alder Street, just east of the Walmart Supercenter. In its place, the applicant proposes a 510-square-foot coffee shop with a 260-square-foot refrigerated storage cooler connected by a canopy. Two drive-through lanes and a bypass lane are planned. No dine-in seating is proposed.
The application had a winding path to a vote. It first appeared on the board's Aug. 18 agenda but was adjourned at the applicant's request, according to archived board records. It was carried again from the Sept. 8 meeting before getting a full hearing Oct. 5, as we reported before the Oct. 5 meeting.
Hillview sign expansion
The board will also hear a new application from Hillview CH, LLC to expand the freestanding pylon sign at Hillview Shopping Center, 2131–2139 Route 38. The applicant seeks a site plan waiver with sign variances to add two tenant panels to the existing five-panel sign, bringing the total to seven.
The 216,219-square-foot shopping center sits across the street from Cherry Hill Mall and is fully leased, according to Kimco Realty, which manages the property. Which tenants would fill the new sign panels is not listed in the application.
Other agenda items
The board, chaired by Sam Kates, will also review Ordinance No. 2026-15, a Township Council referral that would amend Cherry Hill's stormwater management rules. The ordinance would require annual maintenance reporting and add enforcement provisions for private stormwater facilities, consistent with New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) regulations.
The caucus begins at 7 p.m. Oct. 19, with the public meeting at 7:30 p.m. The session will be held via Zoom.
