Two photography workshops are coming to Croft Farm Arts Center in Cherry Hill in November, each costing $15 and open to anyone 16 or older.
The Cherry Hill Arts Board is hosting the sessions on Monday, Nov. 9, and Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the center at 100 Bortons Mill Road. Both run from 7 to 8:30 p.m., according to the township's workshop listing.
The first night focuses on fundamentals. John Cruice, a professional photographer who founded John Cruice Photography in 2019, leads "The Art of Seeing — Intro to Photography." The session covers capturing everyday moments using light and composition, whether the goal is a social media post, a framed gift or a personal keepsake. Participants can bring a camera or a cellphone.
The second night shifts to wildlife. Bruce and Wendy Rubin of Mating Pair Photography, a New Jersey-based wildlife photography operation, lead "The Art of Bird Photography." Their workshop covers equipment selection, camera settings, scouting locations, working with light and exposure, and editing techniques to bring out an image's full potential.
Advance registration is required for the Nov. 10 session. The township's workshop page does not list a registration link. Attendees should bring a camera or cellphone to either session.
Both workshops welcome all experience levels.
Residents can contact the Cherry Hill Arts Board at (856) 488-7868 or [email protected] for registration details and questions about upcoming programming.
