A high-protein meal-prep restaurant with two South Jersey locations is building out a new space on Route 70 in Cherry Hill.

Clean Plate Meal Prep is under construction at Tuscany Marketplace, 1990 Marlton Pike East, where crews were gutting the interior and framing new walls as of Friday, Aug. 21, according to 42 Freeway. The locally owned concept focuses on fresh, high-protein, lower-calorie meals that customers can eat on-site or take home in bulk for the week.

Owner Caesar told 42 Freeway that the Cherry Hill restaurant will include dine-in seating but will have "its own look and vibe" compared to the existing locations in Clementon and Woodbury Heights.

Clean Plate will occupy a front-facing unit in the left-side building at Tuscany Marketplace, with an entrance off the center courtyard and large windows looking out toward Route 70. The shopping center's courtyard layout already houses Bobby Chez, Tuscana and The Boiling House.

The menu features Flex Bowls, grilled wraps, quesadillas, salads, smoothies and protein shakes. The model blends casual counter-service dining with a meal-prep option: customers can buy several portioned meals at once rather than cooking or hitting a drive-thru each night.

No opening date has been announced.

Caesar said additional Clean Plate locations beyond Cherry Hill are in the works but have not been announced. The company teased the Cherry Hill expansion on social media with a construction video, initially framing it as a location-guessing contest. Followers quickly identified Tuscany Marketplace from the footage.

Clean Plate's two current locations, at 1281 Blackwood-Clementon Road in Clementon and 880 Mantua Pike in Woodbury Heights, are open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
