Downed power lines forced Cherry Hill police to close several roads near Challenge Grove Park on Thursday, Oct. 1.
Officers responded to the intersection of Brace Road and Bortons Mill Road, where wires had come down, the Cherry Hill Police Department said on X. Crews were working on the wires as of about 6 p.m., Patch reported.
Bortons Mill Road westbound to Pearl Croft Road is closed. Park Boulevard and Caldwell Road are shut down. The entrance to Challenge Grove Park, the Camden County park on Bortons Mill Road, is also blocked.
Police asked drivers to avoid the area.
Authorities have not said what caused the wires to come down or how long the closures will last, Shore News Network reported. The police department said it would provide updates as more information became available.
