Timberland opened its newest New Jersey store at Cherry Hill Mall on Wednesday, Aug. 19, giving shoppers another option in a wing that's adding several new tenants this year.

The 1,800-square-foot store, reported by NJ.com, sells footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and children, including the brand's signature Premium 6-Inch Boot and Timberland PRO safety gear for trade professionals. It's Timberland's fourth standard (non-outlet) location in the Garden State; the company also operates several outlet stores from Atlantic City to Elizabeth.

A formal ribbon cutting is set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, according to Patch. The grand opening weekend will feature a 13-foot-tall replica of Timberland's iconic yellow boot available for photos on Friday and Saturday, plus an in-store customization station where customers can personalize purchases with laser engraving, patches and custom laces.

Shoppers who buy during the event get extras: footwear purchases come with a tote bag, while other buyers receive a branded deck of playing cards or coaster set.

The store sits in the same wing as the upcoming Dick's House of Sport, near the entrance and escalators to the mall's two-level section, according to 42Freeway.

Timberland is one of six new retailers opening at the Route 38 mall through the end of 2027, according to a statement from PREIT, the mall's owner. The others include True Religion, Indochino, gorjana, Aritzia and Crocs, which opened in late June.

Paula Charles, PREIT's senior vice president of leasing, said in a July 7 announcement about the new tenants: "For shoppers, it meant more of the brands they want in one place and an experience that keeps getting better every time they visit." PREIT called the additions the "strongest collection" the mall has seen in years.

More than a dozen retail projects were underway or planned at Cherry Hill Mall as of July, per 42Freeway, making 2026 one of its busiest years in recent memory. The customization station and boot display run Friday, Aug. 21, and Saturday, Aug. 22. The mall is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
