A water main break has shut down Browning Lane southbound toward Woodleigh Drive in Cherry Hill, the Cherry Hill Police Department said on X on Friday, Aug. 28.

The department urged drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. It said it would provide updates as more information becomes available.

Patch also reported the closure Friday.

The police department did not identify which utility is handling repairs, a cause for the break or an estimated timeline for reopening the road.

As of Saturday, Aug. 29, the department had not posted a follow-up update confirming whether the road has reopened.
