Tickets are on sale for the Barclay Farmstead Holiday House, the annual tour of Cherry Hill's 1816 farmhouse decorated with historic winter greenery and candlelight for the holiday season.

The 2026 tour runs Friday, Nov. 27 through Sunday, Dec. 6 at Barclay Farmstead, 209 Barclay Lane. Tickets are available online through TicketLeap or at the door.

The Friends of Barclay Farmstead, the nonprofit volunteer group that hosts the event, said proceeds support education programming and ongoing restoration at the farmstead. This year's theme honors America's Semiquincentennial, the nation's 250th anniversary. Visitors will tour festive period rooms, hear seasonal music and explore how holiday traditions took shape on the South Jersey frontier.

The Cherry Hill Recreation Department is also looking for volunteers to help run the event. Residents who want to pitch in can call 856-488-7868 or email [email protected].

Friends group marks 50 years

The Friends of Barclay Farmstead have hosted Holiday House for decades as one of their signature fundraisers. The nonprofit was founded in 1975, one year after Cherry Hill Township purchased the farmstead, and has led restoration work on the property ever since.

Megan Brown, recreation manager for Cherry Hill Township's Recreation Department, praised the group's role in a December 2025 Cherry Hill Sun article marking the Friends' 50th anniversary.

"The farmstead would not be what it is today without that organization," Brown said at the time.

About 100 people attended the 50th anniversary celebration at the farmstead in November 2025.

The 32-acre property is listed on both the National Register and New Jersey Register of Historic Places. Quaker farmer Joseph Thorn built the farmhouse in 1816. Cherry Hill Township owns and operates the site through its Recreation Department.

Pricing details for the Holiday House Tour were not listed on the online event page as of Tuesday, Sept. 29. Volunteer sign-ups are open through the Recreation Department.

The tour opens Friday, Nov. 27 at 209 Barclay Lane.
