The Cherry Hill Environmental Board rescheduled its National Public Lands Day volunteer event from Sept. 26 to Saturday, Oct. 3, at Croft Farm.

Volunteers will work on trail improvements, invasive species removal and trash pickup across the township's open spaces. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. at the large red barn at Croft Farm, 100 Bortons Mill Road, where the township will hand out tools and yard waste bags.

The reason for the schedule change was not stated in the township's calendar notice. According to that notice, anyone who registered for the original Sept. 26 date "will receive an email about other possible opportunities to volunteer."

Space is limited. Advance registration is required through the township website.
