Cherry Hill East boys soccer rolled to a 4-0 win over Camden Catholic on Wednesday, Sept. 9, pushing the Cougars to 2-0 with a second straight shutout to open the season.

Four different players found the net. Senior Shawn Tishey scored his second goal of the year, and seniors Jacob Tenas and Dylan Zane each added one. Sophomore Ashton Weiss capped the scoring with his first high-school goal.

"It was an unreal feeling and I was just happy to contribute to my team in any way possible," Weiss told Eastside Online.

The game was played at Camden Catholic, according to the school's athletics account on X. The Irish fell to 0-2 on the season.

Sophomore goalkeeper James Beany earned his first career shutout and his first win of the season in net. Through two games, the Cougars have not allowed a goal. East has outscored opponents 10-0 after opening the year with a 6-0 win over Triton.

Zane scored twice in that opener, a performance that earned him Olympic Conference Player of the Week honors for the week ending Monday, Sept. 7, according to NJ.com. He added another goal against Camden Catholic to give him three on the season.

The fast start follows a strong 2025 campaign. East went 16-6-1 last year and reached the South, Group 4 final, according to an NJ.com preseason preview.

East opens conference play Tuesday, Sept. 15, against Rancocas Valley, which enters at 2-1.
