Cherry Hill residents can vote early for the Tuesday, Nov. 3 General Election starting Saturday, Oct. 24, at the early voting site on Mercer Street.

The location at 820 Mercer St. will be open daily through Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the Cherry Hill Township Clerk's Office. Hours run 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. The building has side-entrance ramp access.

The site is one of seven early voting locations across Camden County, according to the county's elections page. Registered voters are not limited to the location in their own municipality. Any Camden County voter can use the Cherry Hill site or any of the other six, in Gloucester Township, Camden City, Collingswood, Runnemede, Winslow and Voorhees.

Voters will choose members of the New Jersey General Assembly, the U.S. House of Representatives, Camden County commissioners, and local and regional school board members.

Early voting is one of three ways to cast a ballot. Residents can also vote in person on Election Day or request a mail-in ballot. As we reported Sept. 23, mail-in voting remains available after a recent state Supreme Court ruling.

Camden County Clerk Pamela Lampitt said in a Sept. 15 statement that more than 96,000 mail-in ballots had been delivered to the Bellmawr Post Office for mailing to enrolled voters. "It's very important that voters know what to expect for this year's election that includes voting by mail, early voting and in person voting," Lampitt said.

Two key deadlines are approaching. Voter registration closes Tuesday, Oct. 13. That is the last day to register for the General Election. Separately, applications for mail-in ballots must reach the Camden County Clerk by Tuesday, Oct. 27.
