Crews will spray for mosquitoes on 59 Cherry Hill streets early Thursday, Sept. 24, the latest in a series of countywide operations during the summer and fall of 2026.
The Camden County Mosquito Control Commission will conduct ultra-low volume (ULV) spraying between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting, according to a notice posted on the county's website. The operation also covers parts of Gloucester Township, Winslow and Waterford.
Residents on affected streets should avoid direct contact with the spray, especially those with respiratory concerns or sensitivity to irritants, according to the county.

What residents should do
Commissioner Jeffrey Nash, liaison to the Camden County Mosquito Commission, urged residents to eliminate standing water on their properties before the operation.
"Being proactive has a major impact on the mosquito population and helps the hardworking people at the Camden County Mosquito Control Commission in their efforts," Nash said in the county's Sept. 22 announcement.
The commission recommends removing water from flowerpots, containers, pool covers, bird baths, fountains and animal troughs. Standing water is where mosquitoes breed.
In an August notice about a similar operation, Nash said the commission works with the New Jersey Public Health Environmental Laboratories in Trenton to test mosquito samples for West Nile Virus. When an area tests positive, crews return to spray when mosquitoes are most active.
The spray is not harmful to humans or pets, Nash said in August, but residents with respiratory concerns should avoid direct contact.
