Drivers on two of Cherry Hill's major corridors face full and partial road closures through Friday, as Camden County construction crews enter at least their second consecutive week of work.

Kenilworth Avenue is fully closed between Route 38 and Helena Avenue from Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day, according to the Camden County Department of Public Works. The same stretch was shut down under identical hours the prior week, beginning Monday, July 13.

On Kresson Road, two separate work zones are active. Between Springdale Road and Middle Acre Lane, crews are operating lane shifts, closures, and alternating traffic from Monday through Thursday, between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. A second segment between Cropwell Road and Cooper Run Drive has a partial eastbound closure from Monday through Friday, running 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, with an early wrap at 2 p.m. on Friday.

Commissioner Al Dyer, the county's liaison to the Department of Public Works, urged residents to build extra time into their commutes. "Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations," Dyer said in the county's weekly roadwork advisory published Sunday.

Cherry Hill Township flagged the broader construction picture in a July 14 alert, noting that three agencies, the New Jersey Department of Transportation, Camden County and New Jersey American Water, are all running projects on the township's main corridors simultaneously. Mayor Dave Fleisher's accompanying statement is posted at chnj.gov.

The county has not disclosed what type of work is being performed on Kenilworth Avenue or Kresson Road, nor has it provided a projected completion date for either project. The Kenilworth closure has now run at least two consecutive weeks under identical hours.

Dyer also reminded drivers to slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris when passing through active construction zones.
