Cherry Hill's American Legion Post 372 baseball team won the opening game of the District Finals on Wednesday, with a walk-off base hit from Ryder capping a dominant pitching performance by Will Solak.

Solak went the distance on the mound, scattering two hits across seven innings with no earned runs and nine strikeouts. The complete-game effort kept the opposing lineup quiet until Post 372's bats delivered in the final at-bat.

Michalski, Rowe and McLaughlin each collected multiple hits to pace the lineup, according to a game recap posted by Sue Quinn-Morris on the Post 372 website. But the decisive blow belonged to Ryder, who drove in the winning run with a walk-off base hit to end it.

Post 372 captured its third consecutive Camden County championship on Tuesday, July 15, then won its state tournament opener on Sunday, before taking Game 1 of the District Finals two days later. Three wins in eight days.

The team advances in the 2026 NJ American Legion state tournament bracket. The next game date and opponent have not been announced; the full schedule is tracked at njamericanlegionbaseball.com.
