The closure is part of a $4.3 million intersection improvement project that spans from Wayne Avenue to Oakland Avenue, according to a report from WCCS radio published Sunday. Crews will install drainage, curbs, and sidewalks during the shutdown. The road is expected to reopen to unrestricted traffic at 5 p.m. on Friday, August 7.
No official detour route has been announced. Cherry Hill Township has not published a separate notice identifying alternate routes or a project contractor, and drivers should plan for heavier traffic on surrounding streets during the nearly two-week closure.

The intersection work goes well beyond the immediate road closure. The full scope of the $4.3 million project calls for new left-turn lanes, widening of Indian Springs Road, and installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Indian Springs Road and Rustic Lodge Road, WCCS reported.
Those larger improvements will continue after the road reopens on August 7. No completion date for the full project has been announced, and no funding breakdown identifying municipal, county, or state contributions has been made public.
Medical access preserved
A medical facility located on the closed segment of Rustic Lodge Road will remain accessible to patients throughout the 11-day closure, according to WCCS. The report did not specify which entrance or access point will stay open, or whether signage will direct patients during construction.
