Cherry Hill-area families have two free outdoor concerts coming up on Wednesday and Thursday as Camden County's Summer Concert Series keeps rolling through the summer.

On Wednesday, Aug. 12, London-based duo Young Gun Silver Fox takes the stage at Haddon Lake Park's Norcross-McLaughlin Memorial Dell in Haddon Heights. Then on Thursday, Aug. 13, Paradise Island Luau brings Hawaiian hula dancers, Tahitian drummers and Samoan fire knife dancers to Cooper River Park in Cherry Hill.

Both shows start at 8 p.m. and require no tickets.

"These shows provide our residents with quality entertainment, right in their local parks," Commissioner Deputy Director Ed McDonnell said in a county announcement. "We encourage everyone to join us."

Wednesday: Young Gun Silver Fox

The Aug. 12 show is part of the Sundown Music Series at Haddon Lake Park, a 73-acre county park at 625 Station Ave. in Haddon Heights. Young Gun Silver Fox pairs British singer-songwriter Andy Platts with American multi-instrumentalist Shawn Lee for a sound rooted in 1970s West Coast soul and soft rock. Glide Magazine called their 2018 album AM Waves "the best yacht rock LP of the last 35 years." The duo has released five studio albums since forming in 2012, most recently Pleasure in 2025.

Thursday: Paradise Island Luau

The Aug. 13 show moves to Cooper River Park for the Twilight Music Series. Paradise Island Entertainment, a South Jersey-based Polynesian entertainment company with more than 40 years in business, stages a full-scale luau show culminating in a fire knife finale. The company describes itself as the Tri-State area's largest Polynesian-owned luau entertainment outfit, with performers native to the islands.

Cooper River Park last hosted the series on Aug. 4, when Beach Boys co-founder Al Jardine performed a free show that had been rescheduled after wildfire smoke forced a July cancellation.
