A free family event is returning to Cooper River Park, which runs through Cherry Hill, on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office will host its 5th Annual Unity Fun Day at the Louis F. Cappelli Sr. Bocce Court & Piazza along the park's North Park Drive corridor. The office announced the event on X on Thursday, Sept. 3, describing Unity Fun Day as its largest outreach event of the year.
The Bocce Court & Piazza sits at 5300 N. Park Drive in Pennsauken, near the Cherry Hill border. Cooper River Park spans about 347 acres across Pennsauken, Cherry Hill, Collingswood and Haddon Township, according to Camden County.
The Prosecutor's Office did not list a start time or specific activities for the 2026 event in its announcement. In prior years, the event ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and featured free food, games and other activities, according to Camden County event listings and the Prosecutor's Office website.
Cherry Hill Police have participated in past Unity Fun Days. The department posted on Facebook after attending a previous year's event, thanking the Prosecutor's Office for the invitation.
